Girl Scouts Earn Bronze Award

Troop #444 helps out underprivileged moms at Huntington Hospital.

Port Washington Girl Scout Troop #444 recently hosted a fundraiser for their Bronze Award Service Project, collecting new infant baby clothes for moms in need.

The troop sorted and packaged more than 50 bundles and delivered them to Huntington Hospital's labor and delivery department.

Some underprivileged moms will receive a baby bundle and a homemade card in celebration of their new arrival thanks to the work of the girls.

Girl Scouting in Port Washington is partially funded by the Community Chest of Port Washington.
