Local Music Students Raise Funds for Cancer Care Programs

The musicians hail from Manhasset, Great Neck, Herricks, Port Washington, Williston Park, and elsewhere.

Local music students at the Roslyn School of Rock recently created a rendition of the song, “Love, Hope and Strength,” joining a national effort to raise funds for and awareness of cancer care programs. Students live in Manhasset, Great Neck, Herricks, Port Washington, Williston Park, and other area towns.

You can support the cause from Dec. 6 to Jan 3, by downloading the song for 99 cents. Proceeds support the Love, Hope & Strength Foundation, an international, music-centric cancer charity dedicated to saving lives, one concert at a time. Its mission is to “save lives, right now, with the advances that have already been made in cancer care.”

Roslyn’s Music Director Pete Scarlata created the arrangement of "Love, Hope, and Strength," building on each of the performer’s individual abilities.
