Port Performer Comes Clean For 'Grease'

After more than 40 years of sporting a moustache, Port Washington resident Bobby Garofalo gets a new look.

Since Gerald Ford was president, Bobby Garofalo's moustache has been as much a part of his face as his nose.

Clean shaven just once since the age of 17 — in 1978 — almost nothing has been able to separate the 59-year-old Port Washington resident from his facial hair.

But when I comes to putting on a show, it seems nothing is off limits for the lifelong performer — not even his beloved face fluff.

Playing the role of Roger, one of Danny Zuko's Burger Palace Boys, in 'Grease' which is currently running at The Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimmsky Theater through Sunday, Garofalo is all in.

The show features a twist: adult actors, ages 30 and over, will play all the parts as the characters relive their youth at a 25th high school reunion. With his new look 'Roger' is bound to impress his Rydell Hugh School mates.

Catch the show, and the clean shaven face of Garofalo while you can — it doesn't come around often. Get Tickets
