COC and BOE Meetings This Week

Chamber of Commerce Meeting: The board of directors of the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 8 a.m. at Ayhan’s Fish Kebab, 286 Main St. All are welcome.

Historic Landmarks Preservation Meeting: 2013 Historic Landmarks Commission meets Nov. 12 in the North Hempstead Town Board meeting room in Manhasset and at 7 p.m.

Board of Education: The Port Washington Board of Education meets Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Weber Middle School at 8 p.m.

Virtual Visit — The Annenberg Collection: At the Port library Monday at 7:30 p.m., photographer Stefanie Atkinson will give a talk in conjunction with her exhibition in the Martin Vogel Photography Gallery of the Annenberg Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A virtual visit to the The Annenberg Collection will run at the library on Monday at 11 a.m. at the library. The collection was one of the most remarkable gifts ever made to the MET. In 1991, Annenberg bequeathed roughly $1 billion worth of paintings, including works by Manet, Monet, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Cezanne, van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso and Braque. David Bromberg: On Nov. 16, The Landmark on Main Street presents David Bromberg a folk, blues, bluegrass, ragtime, country and ethnic musician to perform a mixture of old favorites and new music from his CD due out this fall.
