Dar Williams; Book Fair This Week

Some happenings in and around Port Washington.

Remembering Jackie O: A presentation at the Port Washington Public Library jan. 24 takes us beyond the familiar narrative of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s public life. Relying on rarely seen photographs from her early life to her years as family matriarch, you will come to know the private side of the intelligent and inspiring woman who was the “real” Jackie O. Presenter Marilyn Carminio worked for many years at an international law firm where she developed and presented client service training programs. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Program starts at 12:10 p.m.

Independent Author Book Fair: The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 25 at the Dolphin Bookshop.

Dar Williams at The Landmark on Main: With her sweet Folk voice, prolific lyrics and witty banter, Dar Williams connects will present an evening of thoughtful music and lots of laughter on Jan. 25. More information and ticket prices here

The ABC's of OTC's: Learn which over the counter medications are safe to take this flu season at the Project Independence presentation. The event runs from 10-11 a.m. at the Port Washington Senior Center. Call 311 or click here for more information.
