Pharmaceutical Take-Back Event: The Town of North Hempstead will partner with the Nassau County Police Department, Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice and local school districts for the Pharmaceutical Drop-off program on Oct. 19. The drop-off program allows residents to safely dispose of expired and unwanted prescription and over-thecounter medications. Residents are urged to discard expired and unwanted pharmaceuticals at each of the Stop Throwing Out Pollutants (S.T.O.P.) events.
