Pride in Port; Street Festival

Some happenings in and around Port Washington this week.

Pride In Port: Saturday's parade from Belleview Ave to Schreiber High School begins at 11:30 a.m., includes: Family Fun Day, luncheon honoring Port's Senior Citizen, homecoming football game with Hall of Fame induction at halftime and 
dinner dance at the Polish American Hall.

Friends of the Sands Point Preserve's Village Day: Event runs from noon until 5 p.m. with outdoor activities for guests of all ages, including a petting zoo green grocer, fresh honey and other refreshments. Admission is $20 per car or $10 with annual pass. Suddenly Solo: Hal Spielman visits the Port Washington Library on Tuesday to talk about his book, "Suddenly Solo — A Lifestyle Roadmap for the Mature Widowed or Divorced Man." The free event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Manorhaven Trustees: The village board of trustees of will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 33 Manorhaven Blvd.

Street Festival: The annual October Street Festival will run in Manorhaven Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that Manorhaven Blvd. will be closed between Dunwood Rd. and Firwood Rd. during the event. NICE Bus routes will be running on schedule but will be picking up and dropping off  at the blocks above and below Dunwood and Firwood Roads.

Farmer's Market: Don't forget about the Farmers Market which Saturday at the Town Dock from 8 a.m. until noon.
