Sullivan's is one of my favorite "go to" places in Port Washington. The food is good (fabulous burgers and the Sullivan's salad is amazing) and the menu has something for everyone without being too big. Brian and his staff always make you feel at home. It's a great place to watch just about any sport on tv, sing karaokee, relax with your friends or meet new ones. It is a place where "everyone knows your name"...or learns it quickly!

I have been fortunate to have a couple of holiday parties this year, both at Sullivan's Quay. What a pleasure it was to walk in and see the beautiful Christmas decor, warm and charming, it is so nice inside one doesn't want to leave!!
The Happy hour food and prices at the bar are amazing!! Believe me when I tell you there is not a better deal in town!! The quality and flavor... YUM!! enough said! Beyond the usual happy hour fare.
My second party was a sit down meal, Superb!! Everything that came to the table was delicious. Presentation was as good as any high class joint I have been to in NY city. The selection of Fish, steaks, salads was incredible. And the "mussels" OMG.....to die for. Everyone in my group was beyond satisfied. We had a wonderful experience......cute little Irish waitress helped also!!
I took a few extra minutes to check out the Menu and noted that it was varied to an extent that suites every palate and pocket.
On a final note I would like to agree with a previous review that portrays Sullivan's Quay as the "Cheers" of Port Washington. Sure is my favorite place in town.
As for Paul who couldn't find his friends!!!!???? It is not That" big a place!
My first time to Sullivan's Quay was last Thursday 2/24). I had the Skirt Steak Salad. My medium -rare skirt steak was cooked to perfection and marinated ......delish!! Service was prompt and friendly. I was dining alone and really appreciated the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I had heard about the Karaoke night and was curious to check it out.
I made my way to the bar and chatted with the very cute bartender, and discovered that they were having an Open Mic that night. I stayed for much longer than intended, had a fantastic time and took a cab home. What a great concept. So much talent on our doorstep!
This past Tuesday I came to Sullivan's with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was glorious, we had Mussels, Soup, Salad specials, Tuna, Steaks, Shepard's pie and Roasted Chicken. It was truly delicious. We sat in the back room by the fire. Again service was so friendly and prompt. Nice wines, could stand a little more choice though.
After dinner well fell upon "Pub Trivia!" Who knew, we missed the first round but stayed (again) for a couple , seriously, what fun!!
Needles to say I am a huge fan of Sullivan's Quay. It has made my move to Port Washington a lot more favorable.
Cant wait for their St Patrick's week line up!
Sincerely '
Sally Shine.
I have been fortunate this Christmas Season to have had 3 Holiday Parties and all were at Sullivan's Quay. The decor is so beautiful and festive, staff so friendly and professional and you have to love that Victor behind the bar!!
I had one happy hour party. The food ($5.00 per order!!) was exceptional for a happy hour price and a good selection of beers and wines...all happy hour prices. Best deal in town!! How come I did not know!! I will have to friend Sullivan's Quay on FB!
Two sit down meals were fantastic. We had several orders of the "Sullivan's Quay Mussels" to die for, and yes a loaf or two of bread to
dip. I saw from burgers to steaks to fish to salads....come to the table. Everyone raved about the food, everything was simply delicious. Service was attentive but not annoying.
On a final note I have to agree with a previous review, Sullivan's Quay is indeed the "Cheers" of Port Washington. Also my favorite place in town!!
Totally inattentive staff. I was to meet three friends for dinner and the hostess looked around and said they were not there yet. I had a beer at the bar facing the front door and nursed it for 30 minutes. Then I asked for a phone book so I could call and find out what happened. They didn't have one. I left. Later that night I found my party of three were in the back room and had told their waitress to expect another (me) They asked her several times if someone had come in. I complained the next day to a blond-haired women, she said she remembered me - I was sitiing at the bar. I explained the debacle and she took my name and address and phone number. I thought at least they would send me a coupon for a free beer if I ever showed up again. Never heard from them. I and my friends never showed up again.
Great food and the kitchen stays open late.
Fish is fresh. Beer on tap also fresh.
Great place and lively patter without being drowned out.
Keep going guys!
Menu is very diverse with something for everyone, food is consistently good, staff are all pros and very accommodating, and decor is pleasant. Prices are very reasonable, especially lunch specials.
Agree with comment below re asking for bread to dip into mussel sauce. Yum!
Great restaurant easily the finest restaurant on the North Shore.
Sullivan's is the "Cheers" of Port Washington. Good food, good people, and the bartenders are the best. Homemade soups are great, and there's no place better in town for a burger and a beer. Also, owner Brian Barry is a gentleman who is very involved in charity and giving back to the community. Sully's is my favorite place in town.
Had lunch there today for my 2nd visit this month. The Sheperd's Pie was great. Had the business lunch special earlier in the month. Very good food in a very nice setting.
Was there twice this month. Great both times, and excellent lunch specials.
Place is always consistent. Great staff and Brian the owner is as good as they come. Food is very good.
One of my all-around favorite places in Port Washington. Excellent food, good service, pleasant ambiance, and a nice "buzz" around the bar. Prices are appropriate. Not least, it's one of the few places in Port or nearby where one can have a late night supper.
Also, the principals contribute money and time to community events.
We love going to Sully's. The food is always perfect, the service cannot be beat. The Shepherd's Pie is to die for as the Fish and Chips. We always get a big greeting from Victor from the bar and Brian has made it a point to swing by to see how things are. I ordered the Gaelic Breakfast and am not a fan of black and white pudding (sorry Brian) but they have no problem in substituting a few bangers in place. I have brought clients from the UK there and they loved every second of the visit. It was like going home. Sullivan's goes out of their way to make sure your experience is perfect!
The food was not good and the service was terrible, I think the server was actually drunk, and quite young. A blond woman who seems to be the manager or owner was running around yelling at people..she looked like a chicken without a head. I'll think twice before eating here again. Sorry.
My family has fallen in love with Sullivan's. Last night we ordered Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe; Shepherd's Pie and NY Strip Steak sandwich. Wonderful! In the past we've had their mussels (cooked in a delicate sauce...be sure to ask for more bread for dipping), Andouille Sausage Dip, Cod Cakes, Fish & Chips and Grilled Pork Loin. Again, absolutely wonderful. You can't go wrong with a meal at Sullivan's.
A great place to have a Guinness from the tap or a very good meal. The Chicken Mandarin Salad is wonderful. The muffins in the bread basket are addictive. There are the expected burgers as well as Irish fare that are done well. The specials surprise and delight and the service is always delivered with a smile. For a comfortable pub to have a good meal or a great beer, Sullivan's Quay hits the spot.

Humm where do I begin ? Frankly, “Sully's” is one of my all-around favorite places in Port Washington however certainly not in the top 10 percent of restaurants in town. Very pleasant ambiance however can be very noisy on weekends. Generally good food, however far too often hit or miss service. Slightly high prices but not totally out of line, decent menu variety and lastly one of the few places in Port where one can have a late night appetizer and/or diner. The principal owner (Barry) is a real good guy who “gives back” and contributes time and money to community events.
