The street-side view of the iconic waterfront restaurant is winning raves from Port Washington residents who voted it a "Golden Storefront" winner for February. The Golden Storefront Award is a joint effort of community groups Residents for a More Beautiful Washington (RFMBPW) and the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District (BID). Louie's may be "Good as Gold - but just on the OUTSIDE. Three weeks ago we ate there and were seated upstairs. Service was just terrible. The wait staff was like a skit from SNL. Describing dishes as having good “stuff” on the side in the sauce. The food was barely OK. It was really bad service. Last week we returned, to use a credit for a dinner my birthday.
