Cops: Baldwin Man Arrested in Roslyn After Violating Protection Order

Nassau police say, a Baldwin man was arrested in Roslyn Tuesday after violating and order of protection a fleeing the scene.

According to detectives, a 21-year-old victim contacted police after Kareem Brown, 23, violated an order of protection at 3:40 a.m. 

Using a K-9 unit, police apprehended Brown who had fled the scene and injured himself on a fence. Brown's injuries required surgery, according to police.

Brown is charged with two counts of aggravated family offense, three counts of criminal contempt first degree, one count of trying to kill or injure a police animal, and criminal trespass third degree. 

Brown was arraigned on June 4 in First District Court in Hempstead.
