Port Defeats Hicksville in Girls Volleyball


The Port Washington girls volleyball team defeated Hicksville 3-1 at home on Monday.

Port's top performers were Megan Murphy with 18 assists and six kills and Kelly Nardone with 10 assists and five aces for the Vikings (1-1) in Conference AA-I.

After rolling in the first two games, the Vikings fought off a third game loss enrout to a 25-12, 25-9, 23-25, 25-17 the victory against Hicksville (0-3)
 
Head Coach Bryan Patterson sid it was the team's most consistent win of the young season.

"Once everything started clicking, we were just on a roll," said Patterson.

Next up for the Vikings is a home match against Baldwin (3-1) Sept. 25 at 4:45 p.m.
