Lemonade Day; Pride In Port

Some happenings in and around Port Washington on Tuesday.

1. There will be a Pride in Port meeting Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 8:30 a.m. at Ayhan's Shish Kebob

2. Did you know? Today is national Lemonade Day. Celebrate by mixing up your favorite flavor of your choice, be it pink, strawberry or watermelon lemonade. All of these cool and refreshing drinks make great bases for coctails too. Get a recipe here.

3. Got game? All are welcome to bring a game of Chess to the Port Washington Public Library on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m.

4. FYI: Rabbi Bruce Ginsburg has agreed to fill in for Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at Tuesday's Let's Talk About It: Jewish Literature program at 7:30 p.m. at the Port library.

5. Check back later today for a story on a local composer who's work on a musical is turning heads at the annual Fringe Festival in New York City this summer.
