The popular Friends of the Library Paperback Swap – the twice yearly event where hundreds of local residents swap thousands of free books – now accepts DVDs, too. The event is Saturday, March 22, 1 - 4 p.m, in the upstairs Hagedorn and ESOL Rooms in the library.
Bring your gently used DVDs along with your gently used books. DVDs must be operable and in original cases. DVDs for all ages accepted. As for books, bring your adult, teen and children’s paperbacks. Note that hardcover children’s books including board books will be accepted. No more than 20 books and 20 DVDs per person.
Books and DVDs are not accepted in advance and the FOL stops accepting items at 3:30 p.m. Browsers welcome. This event is well-known for friends and neighbors sharing book recommendations and book chat, and many best sellers and classics are available. For more information on the FOL and its events see www.pwpl.org/fol.
