Schreiber HS Student Wins Bronze Medal in 2014 I-SWEEEP

After qualifying as a finalist, Emma Feldman, a sophomore at Paul D. Schreiber High School in the Port Washington School District, received a bronze medal for her project in the environment category at the 2014 International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment Project Olympiad in Houston.  

I-SWEEEP is a prestigious science fair that seeks to nurture research based on alternative solutions for sustainable energy. Emma’s project explored the effect of the common plumbing materials of copper, aluminum, PEX and PVC on biofilm formation in a model water distribution system. She competed against 385 projects from 66 countries and 44 states in the final round of competition.
