Cool Port Parade Video Surfaces From 1980's

Do you recognize anyone in this vintage home movie?

A heartwarming home movie posted on YouTube gives a glimpse of a hometown parade in Port Washington in the early 1980's.

The clip was filmed in 1981 or 1982, according to Filmeeze, who posted the video.

"Every year I remember my Cub Scout Pack (Pack 128, Den 3) would walk in Port Washington's Memorial Day Parade down Main Street," said Filmeeze commenting on YouTube. "Let's get a slice at Frank's!"

Ed, the brother of Filmeeze, is seen in the short film marching with the Weber Jr. High School marching band.

Also in the video, the Port Washington Junior Soccer Club, some gas guzzling cars, local officials and parade dignitaries — plus awesome 80's styles, including those pre-Michael Jordan high-riding shorts and knee socks of the era.

"What a nice little video," said one comment regarding the home movie. "My mom was the Den 3 leader back in '86 I believe."
