Manhasset Bay Youth Regatta to Benefit Save The Sound
Green Fleet Opti Charity Regatta Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club will hold its annual Green Fleet Opti Charity Regatta Wednesday.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Save the Sound, a New Haven-based nonprofit organization with an office in Mamaroneck with a 40-year track record of protecting and restoring the waters and shoreline of Long Island Sound.
Save the Sound’s Western Long Island Sound focus includes an "Accountability with Teeth" program dedicated to enforcing clean water laws, a water quality monitoring program, and a youth education program that connects young sailors with Long Island Sound's ecology and watershed.The event starts at 1 p.m. at the yaght club at 455 Main Street in Port Washington.
