March 29: Sports, Painting and Yogurt

Doings around Port Washington.

1) It is Tuesday, March 29, and after a brisk start, today will end up sunny with a high of 44 degrees. An ideal day for a Bubble Tea at "Twisted," the hot/cool new frozen yogurt place on Main Street.

2) Despite the chilly temperatures, spring sports are in full bloom. Two Port Washington varsity sports teams are home today: boys lacrosse hosts Roslyn while softball welcomes Uniondale. Both games are scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

3)  Painting anyone? This morning, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., Port Washington seniors are invited to take part in a painting class at the , 80 Manorhaven Blvd. The class is free to members; membership is $15. Call 516-883-6656

5) Simply Fondue of Great Neck presents its free weekly stand-up comedy show featuring acts from top clubs of Manhattan and Long Island. Simply Fondue is located at 24 Great Neck Road, 2nd floor. Seating begins at 7:30 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. (516) 466-4900.
