Tell Us: Who Would You Rather For Port Road Repair?

Who maintains Port Washington roads the best?

A recent Main Street resurfacing job by the Town of North Hempstead has resulted in a smooth ride and freshly-painted street striping, improving the image of the downtown area while also making the cruise more pleasant for drivers.

Most streets maintained by the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County and Port Washington villages are in pretty good shape — however, there are areas of concern.

On Beacon Hill Avenue nearby, a patchwork pothole situation provided by Nassau County, which maintains the road, has resulted in a bumpy, sometimes hazardous stretch of road for drivers.

Tell us: Who do you think is doing the best job of maintaining their road responsibility: the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County or the villages? Don't know who maintains a certain road? Let us know in the comments section, we'll check it out.
