Works of Chicago Artist on Display in Port Washington

Works of Greg Milne on display through 2013 at With & Whim.

The work of modern artist Greg Milne is currently on display at Wit & Whim.

The Chicago-based artist was on hand Oct. 23 for a well-attended Port Washington meet-and-greet to give a first-hand account of the process and inspiration of his art.

Through his work, Milne transforms the Internet’s infinite information into modern, thought-provoking images. His collection sold out immediately at Limn Art Gallery, San Francisco and Cornelia Arts Building, Chicago.

“Having such a highly regarded artist at Wit & Whim far exceeded all of my expectations," said Wit & Whim owner, Laurie Scheinman.

Milne’s work, with a starting price of $200, will remain on display at Wit & Whim throughout the holiday season.

As part of his exhibit at Wit & Whim, Milne created an exclusive piece dedicated to the lives of those lost on 9/11 in honor of Wit & Whim’s past philanthropic collaboration with Tuesday’s Children, the organization developed to assist families affected by global acts of terrorism.

So far the most popular piece has been “Down The Rabbit Hole,” an image composed of the complete novel, "Alice In Wonderland," separated by chapter, colored by sentence, according to Wit & Whim officials.
