The Port Summer Show production this year will be "42nd Street" and is open to Port Washington students who will be entering 7th grade in the fall up to this year's graduating seniors. Everyone who auditions will be a member of the cast!
Auditions will be held on Monday, May 23rd, at Schreiber High School from 6:45 PM until 9:00 PM. We recommend arriving at 6:45 PM, since there is some paperwork to fill out and we start teaching the dance steps right away.
Please prepare a short audition piece to sing (even "Happy Birthday" will do).
This is the Port Summer Show's 40th anniversary! The director, choreographer, and musical director are all professionals and have been with us for years. We also have a few Port Summer Show alumni, who are back from college, as assistants and there are parent chaperons at every rehearsal and performance.
Rehearsals are held in the evenings, starting in late June, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (and the occasional Wednesday). The performances are on August 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th.
