Movies at the Sands Willets House: Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society Offers Film Series

On Sunday, October 24, 2010, at 1 pm, the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society will begin screening films of historic relevance, right in the historic setting of the Sands-Willets House (ca. 1735).  Our first offering is "Drums Along The Mohawk," the 1939 John Ford classic.  This tale of colonial life in upstate New York during the Revolutionary War features Claudette Colbert and Henry Fonda.  Families are invited.  Bring a blanket for the children to spread out.  Light refreshments will be served.

The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society is a non-profit, educational institution concerned with the cultural, social and political history of Long Island. It offers programs for children and adults, exhibits, tours and special events that make history come alive.
