Landmark on Main Street Announces 2013-14 Line-Up

General public sales begin Sept. 9.

The Landmark on Main Street announce this week its 2013-14 family programs. Tickets go on sale for “Friends of Landmark on Monday, Aug. 5 through the box office by calling 516-767-6444.  General public sales begin Monday, Sept. 9 through the box office or online at www.landmarkonmainstreet.org.

Concert Following Party in the Park: Saturday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m.

Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington’s annual Party in the Park will be held from 1 – 4 PM and everyone is invited to continue the fun at Landmark onMain Street with fantastic family-friendly music provided by iSchool of Music’s Faculty.  Free Admission.

A Christmas Carol: Sunday, Nov. 24 at  2 p.m.

Theatreworks USA's A Christmas Carol captures both the humorous and touching moments of the classic story with witty dialogue and fresh new songs, conveying Dickens' original message that the holiday season should be a "kind, forgiving, charitable time." This sentiment is a timeless and heartfelt message. Tickets for the show are Premium $18 Standard $15.

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s Leo Lionni’s “Swimmy,” “Frederick” and “Inch by Inch:" Sunday, Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

This new production is based on Leo Lionni’s exquisitely crafted Caldecott Honor stories, “Swimmy,” “Inch by Inch” and “Frederick.”  All these stories provide wonderful material for translation to puppet theater through gentle storytelling, imaginative lighting and an original musical score. Paper Bag Players in “Hiccup Help!:" Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m.

Celebrating its 55th Season, The Paper Bag Players is a tradition in Landmark’s Children’s Series.  For their new show, Hiccup Help!, The Paper Bag Players have dug deep into their bag of favorites and brought out Cookies, Bicycle Race and A Perfect Picture – the picture is not only painted but comes to life as you watch! These classic numbers are combined with a heaping helping of the brand new. Tickets for the show are Premium $18 Standard $15.

“Teacher From the Black Lagoon” and Other Storybooks: Sunday, April 6, at 2 p.m.

This is an exciting new musical revue based on favorite contemporary children’s books including Teacher From the Black Lagoon, Dogzilla, Grumpy Bird, I Want My Hat Back, Lily’s Purple Plastic Purse, Love Splat, Splat the Cat and The Grasshopper and the Ant.  Theatreworks USA at their best.  Tickets for the show are Premium $18 Standard $15. 

Circus Incognitus Starring Jamie Adkins: Sunday, May 4 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

In this new show starring Jamie Adkins, clowning and acrobatic feats bring to life a story of a man who has something to say, but can’t quite get it out.  The audience follows Jamie on an adventure about having the courage to try new ideas – because you never know what you can do until you try! Tickets for the show are Premium $18 Standard* $15.

Galumpha: Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

Combining stunning acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy and inventive choreography, Galumpha brings to life a world of imagination, beauty, muscle and merriment.  $25 (all tickets).
