Port Teenager Appearing in NYC Ballet's 'Nutcracker'

Isabella Henderson currently performing in George Balanchine's Nutcracker with New York City Ballet.

There's still time to catch a talented Port Washington teenager perform in one of the holiday season's most traditional events in New York City.

Isabella Henderson, 13, is midway through a 24-show run with the New York City Ballet’s George Balanchine’s Nutcracker. The young dancer appears as a Candy Cane (Hoop).

According to her father, she’s was accepted to the School of American Ballet as part of the first group of 6-year-olds. This is her seventh year at the school.

With more than a dozen shows remaining on her Cast B schedule, it's not too late to make one of Henderson's performances in Manhattan.
