Polar Plunge 2013 Charity Event at North Hempstead Beach Bar, 10 a.m.

Artist reception: Wei-An Huang, Port Washington Public Library, 2-4 p.m.

Pasta-making Class by Chef and Sommelier Nikki Cascone of Bravo’s Top Chef at The Meat House,  1085 Northern Blv., Roslyn, 2:30 p.m.

Sewing Workshop for children, at Nancy Sinoway, 2 p.m.

Paul Barrer and Fred Tackett, the guitarists from Little Feat, Landmark at 8 p.m.
