Stores to Team up Thursday For Senior Citizens

Lower Main Street Port Washington stores to donate portion of sales to senior center.

A very special and unique charity shopping event will take place on Dec. 12 when four stores will donate a percentage of their sales to the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center.

The following stores on lower Main Street and Port Washington North will participate in this event on Thursday: Ayhan’s Shish Kebab, Moo La La, Port Washington Bicycles and Wit & Whim. 

On Dec. 10, nine stores participated, including: 16 Handles, Impulse, Linda’s g2g, Smashburger and Vintage Grapes Wine & Spirits.

Shoppers must tell the salespeople they are shopping for the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center in order for the Senior Center to receive a donation from the sale.

Organizers say, the donations will help support additional programming at the Senior Citizens Center located at 80 Manorhaven Blvd.
