Thinking of starting a small business? (It's probably easier than starting a large one!)
During difficult economic times, new business start-ups increase. And it's a matter of opportunity, not odds. Starting a small business is as easy as pie. You can register a business name at the county clerk's office, go to the nearest bank with your new EIN (Employer Identifications Number) and open a checking account – and you are now in business to market: buy and sell – hopefully at a profit.
Internet resources abound, and many give free and not so free advice. Good advice would be to seek out a member of Entrepreneurs Anonymous, a fictional organization where a member comes to your house with a bottle of whisky and tries to talk you out of it! :-) In fact, being an entrepreneur is a real "trip" – an adventure where you're on edge much of the time, working very hard, and hoping a lot. It's not for sissies!
