Batten down the hatches, Port Washington. Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast until 2 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Nassau and Suffolk counties through 2 p.m. Monday.
A line of rainmaking storms rolled through the Port Washinton area at about 7:30 a.m. More are expected throughout the day.
In addition, there's a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Long Island Sound.
