Play Troupe's "Spotlight on Theater: Behind-the-Scenes Conversations with Coffee and Confections"

The historic Port Washington Play Troupe inaugurates a new program: “Spotlight on Theater: Behind-the-Scenes Conversations with Coffee and Confections."

This monthly discussion series will feature special guest presentations on the making of theater followed by casual conversation over desserts.

The series' first topic will be “Your Port Washington Play Troupe,” hosted by Port Washington historian Andrew Batten. Batten will share the stage with Play Troupe program leaders to tell the story of the company’s founding in 1927 and the many creative eras that followed, with artifacts from the group's history on display. President Pamela Meadows will then share plans for Play Troupe's future and offer avenues for community members to get involved.
