The War on Women -- What it is, How to Combat it.

7:30 p.m. Thursday Oct 18

Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore

1001 Plandome Road,  Plandome (Manhasset)  NY 11030

Please put the date on your calendar now.

Today's adults grew up in a climate of expanding women's rights. Now many of these rights are under fierce attack. To develop ways to combat this trend the Reconstructionist Synaogue of the North Shore (RSNS)  is hosting a forum to address urgent issues on the national and local agenda.

Our speakers will be two distinguished leaders in protecting womens's rights:

Nassau Civil Liberties Union President Roy Klein

"Women's Reproductive Health Rights;  A Brief Legal and Political History"

and

Nassau Planned Parenthood President Joann Smith:

"Women's Health Care: What's at Stake"

Representatives of local government, community and religious organizations will join together at this forum, which is envisioned as the first of several leading to an action program.

Q and A will follow the speeches and will be moderated by Rabbi Lee Friedlander of RSNS. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to: rsns@optonline.net
