65 Rescued Pups and Dogs Coming to NSALA

Many of the dogs will be available for adoption Saturday.

Nearly 65 puppies and dogs rescued from puppy mills arrive Tuesday at North Shore Animal League America.

NSALA's rescue team along with National Mill Dog Rescue saved the pups and dogs from commercial breeding operations in Missouri and Texas. The canines range in size, age and breed, including Chihuahua, bichon frise, Chiweenies (Chihuahua and daschaund mixed breed), Havanese and King Charles Cavalier.

Once evaluated medically and behaviorally, and spayed or neutered, the puppies and dogs will begin to be available for adoption on Saturday.

Thank you so much NSAL and NMDR for giving these poor dogs a chance at a happy life.

our little Cihuahua came from NSALA and it was the best choice possible take it from people who have owned dogs, cats, ducks. The work that this organization does is amazing. Before looking elsewhere check them out it is truly worth the trip.

NSALA does a great job not to be denied. What I have noticed over the past few years is that they are not get as many from kill shelters as focused in on puppy mills. That disturbs me a little bit but otherwise still a great organaization
