65 Rescued Pups and Dogs Coming to NSALA

Many of the dogs will be available for adoption Saturday.

Nearly 65 puppies and dogs rescued from puppy mills arrive Tuesday at North Shore Animal League America.

NSALA's rescue team along with National Mill Dog Rescue saved the pups and dogs from commercial breeding operations in Missouri and Texas. The canines range in size, age and breed, including Chihuahua, bichon frise, Chiweenies (Chihuahua and daschaund mixed breed), Havanese and King Charles Cavalier.

Once evaluated medically and behaviorally, and spayed or neutered, the puppies and dogs will begin to be available for adoption on Saturday.
