PWPD Crime Report: April 12-18

Incidents and arrests in the Port Washington Police District over the past week.

The following information is taken directly from the Port Washington Police District's Felony Report. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests:

  • A Port Washington man was arrested and charged for driving with a suspended license on Port Washington Boulevard on April 14.
  • A Port Washington woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 65 Shore Road on April 16.
  • A Port Washington man was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Rite Aid, located at 961-3 Port Washington Blvd., on April 17.
  • A Port Washington man was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 25 Old Shore Road on April 17.

  • A complainant reported that he applied for a loan online, paid the loan fee of $3,116 and that the loan Web site is now shut down. The complainant reported on April 13 that he is unable to contact the company. A fraud investigation is currently underway.
  • A complainant reported that an unknown person or persons forged her signature and withdrew $9,000 from her account on April 13. A fraud investigation is currently underway.
  • A complainant reported that a check bounced that she deposited after withdrawing the funds to cover the check on April 16. A fraud investigation is currently underway.
  • A complainant reported on April 16 that an unknown person or persons are using her credit card without her permission. A fraud investigation is currently underway.
  • A complainant reported that her purse, containing a Blackberry cell phone and multiple credit cards, was stolen from her at 165 West Shore Road on April 18. A local investigation of this petit larceny is currently underway.
