@ Craig , I love it total desperation you are throwing out names in order to avoid the fact that Dileo voted YES for the tower . Yeah so, Carmine once served on the BZA in the past but NOT when tower was voted on . The bza was under mike meehans watch @ the time of vote . Look @ minutes he did not vote!
Yeah and Mark built some beautiful homes around the block from me in the beach haven section .Carmine and Mark are well respected in the community and any one who knows them knows they dont have a bad bone in there body. So whats your point? I'll give you the answer, your desperate and youll say anything to win votes . Do you get out much? Are you antisocial? Listen to the people NO ONE wants Dileo to be mayor only Dejana. LET ME MAKE IT REAL CLEAR ! DILEO VOTED FOR THE TOWER ,DILEO VOTED FOR THE TOWER and again you dont hear so well DILEO VOTED YES TO THE TOWER AND HAS DONE NOTHING IN 9 YRS.

Ms. Steele thats the problem no support from our village. If you ever visited other villages they dont conduct themselves like our village does! What will it take for them to listen ??

Hi Mitch - I believe we are in the same camp (The 99.9% opposed to the tower), but just wanted to clarify that not all new builds on Sintsink D West are absentee landlords. There were 2 fires over a year apart, one which displaced an entire family and destroyed their home, another which was deadly.

I wonder what this board has to hide ? if they had nothing to hide they would fight.
Im sorry the tenants dont respond to landlords they are action that can be taken! Dont give them a CO they will respond .

Keith, the other house that did burn down was ressas and yes the other two were not. But dejana is building now ,ressa and dejana rent their units they would never live under this tower. The other 2 Im sure did not ever imagine that when they bought their house that their village years later would vote yes to a tower!

Did you know .,. If our Village Board doesn't give AG Towers a CO they CAN'T activate. There are several issues on which the board can refuse a CO ( see minutes of last meeting and Giovanna Giuntas comments)
Did you know the original lease between the village and AG towers expires in only 7 months and doesn't have to be renewed ... And the second lease Capozzi signed giving AG Towers a 50 year lease can be contested because he may have overstepped his authority to do so. All these facts were uncovered not by the board but by our residents. So many ways the Village Board can stop this Tower and these are only a few... So the question we all are asking., Why Not??

Meyer - Are you suggesting what someone who died in a fire or had their home burnt to the ground might be thinking about a cell tower? I don't think you meant it that way. A big issue here is that Di Leo seems anti-environment and approved subdivisions on Sintsink Drive West. More building and improper zoning = more ecological impact. I digress, I believe the discussion points remain: 1) How will the new mayor help serve the people and 2) How can the new mayor be unaligned and unbiased to any particular party, contractor, builder and owner, while simultaneously making the citizens voices not just heard, but implementing processes and activating policies that protect the people. Whether that's putting up a stop sign, taking down a cell tower, working with the DEC to clean up Sheets Creek, planting new trees with children, etc...Let's do something good that will help the community's well being.

Yeah your right. The villages worked with their residents when they had got involved BEFORE there was a SIGNED CONTRACT. Thats not the same in this case. NO ONE GOT INVOLVED when the village asked them too!

If you were involved in 2006 2007 you would know who voted to destroy the marinas. It was capozzi weber and balcourt who voted for it. Dileo did NOT. He infact fought long and hard against it. Voted to over turn the zoning, saved the marinas, the sportsmens club and got rid of capozzi. So Dileo cares for the village where he lives and has given countless hours of his time to community service.

What boards are there besides Trustees, Zoning Appeals and general Architectural Review? Maybe you can educate me on that? Who is the real Mike R? You have no accountability and are probably just the village attorney or another sellout to the landlords or other additional revenue streams. All you care about is money and for some reason you are trying to save face for village officials who have sacrificed the best interests of the people, for the best interest of themselves.

Carmine Bichetti supported Capozzi the father of the cell tower and the creator of the "E" zone where Matinicock avenue would have been lost to high density condos blocking whatever water views are their. Carmine was an appointee of Capozzi at the same time. John Dileo fough and won against Capozzi's E zone and repealed the the zoning that would have allowed the development of the waterfront. Now who was protecting manhasset isle residents while the other was selling them out for a government position?

John Dileo is going to change the E2 zone for Dejana so he can build the property he purchased .Who are you kidding??? You are a joke, you will never change the fact that he has done nothing in 9yrs!

The village cant just act on something just because joe blow said theres a problem. What certifications does joe blow have that makes them an expert at what they are claiming??? The village would have to check out the validality of the claims.
