Reminder: Trashion Show II Thursday

Event set for "Yes We Can" Community Center in Westbury at 7 p.m.

“Trashionistas” will take center stage at the “Yes We Can” Community Center in Westbury on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m., when they sport new creations made from recyclable materials or any materials that might have otherwise wound up in a landfill.

The "Trashion Show" is designed to help student from dozens of elementary, middle school and high schools from the nine school districts participating in North Hempstead’s School Recycling Program. 

This year’s Trashion Show will be sponsored by Hirshleifers of Americana Manhasset.

Pieces from the show will be displayed at the gallery at the “Yes We Can” Community Center and at the New York State Capitol in Albany in March.
