Port Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society

Awardees are noted for their excellence in career and technical education.

Photos are now in of the Port Washington students inducted into the National Technical Honor Society on June 9.

These students – donning purple, silver and white – donned the honor society colors as 159 teenagers from Garden City-based Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center (Barry Tech). 

Representing were Bryant Gonzales, who studies automotive technology; Sebastian Puerta, who studies graphic skills; and Jessi Bedoya, who studies medical assisting.

Thsee awardees joined other from 41 Nassau County high schools who received certificates and participated in a candle-lighting ceremony.

The award is given to students who demonstrate excellence in career and technical education.
