Parents must follow guidelines to admit their children for 2010-11 school year

It's that time of year again, where parents are thinking about getting their children ready for school registration.

In Port Washington, registration for kindergarten, middle and high school students only will take place beginning Monday, January 11, 2010 and continue through Friday, February 26, 2010. According to the district, you must make an appointment to register your child by calling 516-767-5470. The office will take calls from 8:30 until 3:30.

Children must be five years old on or before December 1, 2010 to start kindergarten in the fall.
