Volunteers Needed for Mock Interview Session at Schreiber High School

Interviews to take place Feb. 27.

When it comes college interviews, Schreiber High School students have plenty questions, including: Which foot is my best foot forward? Is it alumni or alumnus? Do I dress up or dress casually? Should I shake hands even if my palms are sweaty?

If you or someone you know is an 11th grader asking these kinds of questions, take heart. The Schreiber High School Compact Committee is organizing a panel of volunteers who can offer 11th grade students advice and practice on presenting themselves positively for college. To all the members of the Port community who volunteered in the past and helped to make this forum such a huge success, we cannot thank you enough. Now, the committee is asking anyone who has experience interviewing for colleges or in the business sector to participate in mock interview sessions with students on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Schreiber High School.

If you can help Schreiber students “ace” their interview, please contact Chris Jenkinson at 384-6014 or chrisq.jenkinson@gmail.com, or contact Lisa Shevrin at 767-9609 or LAShevrin@gmail.com. Your advice will make a big difference to Port Washington students.
