Each Thanksgiving Day morning thousand of people awake early to get ready to run, trot, or walk in the Port Washington Thanksgiving Day Run. Approximately 100 volunteers are required to make this event successful, plus a professional race management company.
But the result is worth it. For over 30 years, this event has brought people from around the greater Port Washington area to meet at a starting line for a 5 mile sanctioned race. For some the race lasts only a few minutes. For other, completing the course takes a little longer.
Adults, children, families alike particpate.
