Friends of the Sands Point Preserve is proud to present a world-class Design Showhouse at historic Hempstead House on the Guggenheim Estate. Leading interior designers will transform this magnificent Tudor-style mansion, inspired by “Titans” of business, technology, entertainment, fashion, gardening, publishing, and the arts.
The Masquerade Ball on November 1 at 7:00 p.m. honors the designers: Beverly Balk Interiors; Baltimore Design Group; Classic Galleries, Liz Cordeiro Designs; Fancy Fixtures; Robinteriors – Robin Liberatore; Metropolitan Institute of Design; Julie Moir Messervy Design Studio; Safavieh Home Furnishings; Le Decor De Maisons De Luxe - Inaam Elias Tahhan; and HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” Emmy Award-winning team: production designer Bill Groom & set decorator Carol Silverman. The evening includes cocktails, dinner, and dessert with music by DJ Trife. Costume attire is suggested.

Sally Miller’s Couture Fashion Show in Castle Gould's Great Hall

Meet the designer whose couture clothing is sold in retail powerhouses Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Lesters, and 375 boutiques nationwide. Plan a special day: tour the Sally Miller-inspired room in Hempstead House, have lunch in the new Palm Court Café in Hempstead House, and see local young models take to the runway in Castle Gould’s Great Hall. Tickets are $30 per adult; children 8 years and up are free when accompanied by paying adult.

Fusion of Art & Music
A gallery of contemporary paintings & photography will be on exhibit during the Showhouse Tours. Join us for the Artists’ Reception on November 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Inspired by Yo-Yo Ma, youth chamber ensembles will perform selections of the famed cellist’s favorite composers as part of our Arts in Education initiative — on Sunday, November 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2013.

Showhouse Tour Tickets: $30 per person plus $10 parking fee per car / free parking with Annual Pass. A Showhouse Pass is available for unlimited entry to Hempstead House on Showhouse Tour dates through November at $50 per person.
Proceeds will support essential restoration projects at Hempstead House.
