Friends of the Sands Point Preserve will recreate the Woodstock experience on the Great Lawn on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at noon to 7:30 p.m. The event features a fantastic line up of tribute bands - and 75 artists who will display their work on the beautiful grounds overlooking the Long Island Sound - painting on site to the inspiration of the live music and audience reaction. It's a perfect family outing at the Sands Point Preserve. Don't miss the magnificent rose garden at Hempstead House - it is in full bloom!
The tribute bands include: Wondrous Stories (The Who tribute), Milagro (Santana tribute), Halfstep (Grateful Dead tribute), Dragonfly (Jimi Hendrix tribute), Jelly Band (Mixed Woodstock tribute) with guest soloist, Elana Rivkin.
Food and drinks can be purchased on the grounds. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic and blanket - and settle in on the cool grass for a great day of music, art, and hip fun. Admission to the Preserve is $10 per car and free with an Annual Pass!
