Junior Singers of Summer

Led by singer-songwriter Jeff Sorg, this local group will perform at the Parent Resource Center in a free summer show.

The Junior Singers of Summer, a group of young local singers, will have the opportunity to perform at a free outdoor concert organized by the Parent Resource Center (PRC) on Tuesday, August 10, at 6 p.m. The group was coached by children's singer-songwriter and PRC music teacher, Jeff Sorg.

The Junior Singers, a group of children ages seven and older, spent the summer rehearsing for the show through a PRC program. They will perform a variety of songs from Broadway, the movies and around the world. Songs will include hits from musicals including "Annie" and "The Sound of Music," as well as "Moon River" from "Breakfast at Tiffany's," along with "So Danco Samba" by Antonio Jobim.

The concert will take place on the west lawn of the Landmark on Main Street. Admission and a special dessert will be free, with other snacks and refreshments on sale.

PRC will offer the Junior Singers class again this fall.  For more information please call 516-767-3808 or visit online at www.parentresource.org.
