Danceworks in Port Washington Gets New Owner

Trish Gargani, a Port Washington mother of two, is now the new owner of
Danceworks, NY at 21 Yennicock Avenue in Port Washington.

Better known as "Miss Trish," Gargani has spent the last eight years working at Danceworks, NY as a teacher to the three-to-five-year-old set.

One of her most popular classes is "Tutus & Tiaras," for the age-two crowd. This class focuses on dress-up, creative movement and imaginative play.

For Gargani, life is coming "full circle," she says, noting that not only is she raising a family in Port but also grew up on the peninsula, dancing at several studios.

Danceworks, NY originally was opened by Joanne Thomas, who decided to step down in order to spend more time with her family.

As the new owner, Gargani, who took over on March 28, plans to offer exercise classes for adults, additional classes for boys and girls, and connect the studio with those involved in performing arts in Port Washington.
