‘Making Moms Social’ Event is Wednesday

The evening of social media tips and networking opportunities takes place in Roslyn.

Moms have the chance to learn best practices when it comes to embracing social media on a personal and professional level, as well as to inspire a sense of community, at a networking event Wednesday evening in Roslyn.

The event, “Making Moms Social” runs from 8-10 p.m. at Practice Body Mind and Soul, and features a panel of “momtrepreneurs.”

These social media gurus include Carrie Kerpen, CEO of Likeable Media, Elyssa Stern of Divalysscious Moms, Diane Livingston, Esq., Beth Granger and fashion blogger Vera Sweeney. The evening also offers plenty of networking opportunities, say organizers Amanda Khalil of Port Washington Mama and Cynthia Litman of Mommas Pearls.

The evening will begin with a cocktail half hour to mingle, followed by the panel and question-and-answer session. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and a journal.

The event is the first of a series of being produced my MomTime Events, a collaboration between Khalil  and Litman. The duo hosted the Momtrepreneur Fair in the spring of 2013 at the Blumenfeld Family Park in Port Washington, which provided local mothers the chance to link resources, information and organizations together.
