Plandome Rd. Construction to Begin Tuesday, Weather Permitting

The roadwork is expected to span two days, says North Shore Alert.

The nightime closure of slated for last week is now scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday night, from 9 p.m-6 a.m. That's according to North Shore Alert, a mass notification system for the peninsula.

Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Stonytown Road towards Port Washington Blvd. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Richard Road towards PW Blvd. It will be closed, in both directions, for milling and paving.

In the event of foul weather, work will proceed on the subsequent nights.

Residents who wish to receive emails alerts must register and maintain their contact information at NorthShoreAlert.org, even if they are already receiving the phone alerts.
