Mangano Honors Port Washington Fire Department Ex-Chief Geoffrey Cole

Jet Blue also recognizes Cole for his service to the community.

Port Washington Ex-Chief Geoffrey P. Cole was recently honored by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano honored for his service.  

Cole has held the position of chief of the department on three separate occasions.  Joining the County Executive and sponsoring the award ceremony was Richard Smythe, Vice President of JetBlue, who provided a round trip airline ticket in recognition of Ex-Chief Cole’s dedicated service.   

Also in attendance were Chief Fire Marshal Scott D. Tusa, Fire Commissioner Rick Gardner, and Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos.   

Port Washington Fire Chief Ray Ryan accepted the award from Mangano on behalf of Cole, who was unable to attend the ceremony.
