Police Report: Marijuana, Shoplifting and More

The following information is taken directly from the Port Washington Police District's Felony Report. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest on Davis Avenue on Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. for violating an order of protection.

A New Castle woman was placed under arrest on Port Washington Boulevard on Nov. 8 at 12:25 p.m. for an open warrant.

A Glen Cove man was placed under arrest on Shore Road on Nov. 11 at 5:33 p.m. for an open warrant.

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest on Nov. 11 at 1:07 p.m. on Main Street for an open warrant.

A homeless man was placed under arrest on Nov. 13 at 12:02 p.m. on Shore Road for an open warrant.

A Bay Shore man was placed under arrest on Nov. 18 at 7:42 a.m. on Port Washington Boulevard for driving with a suspended license.

A Glen Cove woman was placed under arrest on Nov. 18 at 7:43 p.m. on Old Shore Road for shoplifting.

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest on Nov. 19 at 7:28 a.m. on Harbor Road for possession of marijuana.

A Swanzey, NH, man was placed under arrest on Nov. 19 at at 6:29 p.m. for driving with a suspended license.

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest on Nov. 20 at 12:37 a.m.  on Mill Pond Road for leaving the scene of an accident with a physical injury.

Complaints

A woman on Plymouth Road reported on Nov. 9 at 7:18 a.m. that  someone hacked her email address and sent out emails claiming she was in need of money.  A local investigation is under way.

A complainant on Davis Avenue reported on Nov. 8 at 11:15 a.m. that $8,000 was removed from a locked safe box. A local investigation is underway.

A complainant reported on Charles Street on Nov. 10 at 10:53 a.m. that an unknown person or persons spray-painted an officer trailer and storage container. A local investigation is underway.

A woman on Jefferson Street reported on Nov. 19 at 11:30 a.m. that an unknown person or persons spray-painted the side of her vehicle. A local investigation is underway.

A complainant reported on Nov. 20 at 9:55 a.m. vehicle theft on Harbor Park Drive between Oct. 29, 2010 and Nov. 17, 2010. A local investigation is underway.

A woman reported on Jefferson Street on Nov. 20 at 12:25 p.m. that an unknown person or persons spray-painted the side of her vehicle. A local investigation is underway.

A woman reported on Nov. 21 at 11:26 a.m. on Port Washington Boulevard that an unknown person or persons opened four credit accounts in her name. A local investigation is underway.
