Port Washington Man Arrested for Threatening Social Security Employee

Threatened to blow "someone's brains out," police say.

Nassau County Police arrested a Port Washington man for threatening a Social Security employee in Mineola on Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.

Police say Patrick Finnegan, 46, of Preston Street in Port Washington, threatened the Social Security employee during a phone conversation. Finnegan, unhappy with the service he’d received, said if his complaint were not resolved “he would go there and blow hers or someone’s brains out,” according to a statement released by Nassau County Police.

Third Squad detectives arrested Finnegan at his home on Wednesday at 8 p.m., charging him with making a terrorist threat and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
