Scattered Power Outages to Port Washington

Power expected to be restored by 2:30 p.m.

The morning wind and rain triggered local flooding and scattered power outages on the Port Washington peninsula Friday morning.

For example flooding and fallen branches on Port Washington Boulevard south of Longview Road slowed down traffic. Expect delays in other low-lying areas.

Long Island Power Authority is reporting scattered power outages on the Port Washington peninsula. There are 94 homes affected in Flower Hill, 15 in Port Washington North and an unspecified number in Manorhaven.

Power is expected to be restored by 9:30 a.m. in Flower Hill, and by 2:30 p.m. elsewhere on the peninsula.
