Main Street Cleanup in Port Washington
The big event made it easy for residents to celebrate Earth Day.
Port Washington's Main Street was spruced up on Saturday as volunteers showed some love to our community.
The event – the Fourth Annual Clean Green Main Street Day – was spearheaded by the and . Beginning at 9 a.m., volunteers were busy sweeping sidewalks, picking up litter, planting flowers and mulching tree beds. Residents also had a chance to learn more about North Hempstead's program, and the opportunity to purchase at a reduced rate.
