Schimel: Thanks Voters

The assemblywoman says her actions are driven in part by a love of community.

Thank you for voting on Election Day. Participating in the electoral process is the cornerstone of democratic government and community action. That being said, I am especially grateful for those who voted for me, recognizing that my actions as your Assemblywoman are driven by a love of community, a strong belief in our governmental system, and compassion for those in need  – which frankly cuts across all demographics.

I have always believed that hard work, some sacrifice, persistence coupled with patience will help us achieve the goals we want for ourselves, our children and our New York State.

With the impact of Hurricane Sandy still being felt throughout our area as families still struggle to recover I appreciate that my constituents took the time to go to the polls.

As always, please feel free to contact my District Office at 516-482-6966 if I can be of any further assistance. I will continue to work each day with you always in my thoughts.

Michelle Schimel, D-Great Neck, represents the 16th Assembly District.

There are couple of hundred flights a day out of the country. What's keeping you?
John November 12, 2012 at 10:28 pm
Bob Young... as you can see only one opinion is allowed around here. Feel free to speak your mind as long as you agree with the "open-minded inclusive" folk.

Those flights have OPEN SEATS. Get some.

Nassau Taxpayer... did you leave with Streisand and Baldwin last time? It's always wonderful to see the liberal mind resort to bullying. I can't wait for the threats. Maybe the conservatives should take a cue from you guys and occupy Wall Street. Break windows paint hammer & sickles on walls and demand everything for free? Sound good? You can pay our taxes too.

How does PATCH allow this ridiculous taunting to continue? Journalism is dead, it's now just a "politician's" mouthpiece followed by a bickering free-for-all by the readers...
bob young November 13, 2012 at 03:43 am

Nassau Taxpayer November 13, 2012 at 12:40 pm

Particularly out of line since it's a shared-use puddle for camp groups splashing, not a good poolRead More venue for individuals swimming.

The TONH should be under some investigation for charging such a high fee for a very short summerRead More season. You lose most of june and the pool closes in early September. Better off paying as you go just purchase the parking permit which is good at the Manorhaven Pool and the Harbor beach. Stop buying a season pass in protest to the yearly excessive price increase.

And speaking of investigations, what's up with Jonny's Roslyn CC fiasco?

Contact the Village and the water district, it's probably a problem with a pipe on your street.
