Village Elections Set for Tuesday
Incumbents and others running in Manorhaven and Sands Point.
Candidates are seeking positions Tuesday on two boards in the villages of Manorhaven and Sands Point.
In Manorhaven, incumbent Mayor Giovanna Giunta is seeking re-election. Looking to unseat her are James M. Avena and John O'Reilly, according to Newsday. Trustees Mark Lazarovic and Dorit Zeevi-Farrington are seeking re-election as village trustees. Looking to unseat them are Jonathan K. Davis, John S. Popeleski, Priscilla von Roeschlaub and Kevin M. Gately, Jr.
The polls are open in Manorhaven from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Village Hall, 33 Manorhaven Boulevard.
In Sands Point, Lynn R. Najman and Peter A. Forman are running for trustee. Alyson K. Adler is running for justice, according to the village website.
Polls are open in Sands Point from 12-9 p.m. at Village Hall, 26 Tibbits Lane.
